Consultant, Software Architect - WebMedia - Snr

ROLE: Senior Consultant is responsible for supporting Account Directors in Australia & NZ in Pre-Consulting role, & includes design & price solutions for delivery by Professional Services (Account Management & implementation) team - BA's PM's, Developers & Testers. Mix of strong technical/product & presales exp with marketing techniques to deliver world class solutions for clients & advertising agency partners. You must have significant exp in delivering solutions that typically combine technology products with services, consulting & customisation. Skilled Technically, & client facing Consultative skills, through project lifecycle & ongoing client management, including pre-planning to deliver client solutions. Develop & direct accurate, usable functional specifications for both client & internal software product development projects - involved in all facets of project lifecycle. Liase with Clients & Act Directors - determine requirements, clear enunciation of business problems, prepare solution outline & indicative pricing, translate into workable solution, evaluate third party applications, cost effectively meet client customisation needs.

ESSENTIAL EXP: 6+ yrs exp as Solution Architect, Consultant, BA & PreSales within web development, software or interactive marketing company. You "must be" equally competent in a deeply technical perspective as in Consulting in following: Exp'd in leading project teams, including full accountability for staff. Depth exp in data modelling & database design. Client facing, working with clients, analyzing business requirements & providing solutions. Exp'd in product or application environment, exp'd in research, consult, write & edit functional specifications, technical specifications & related documents & communicate information effectively to clients & developers. User Interface design & workflow diagram exp (Visio), to represent requirements information in graphical & textual representations in natural language.

Solid technical background, strong understanding of applications & how they are used in business.

Database design/data analysis/data modeling & implementation experience & Software development experience. Exposure to development in Java/J2EE environment advantageous.

Scope & Analysis Phase - Identify business requirements, drivers, KPIs, review & analyse existing systems, websites, database structures, data, documentation of existing processes. Liaise with client technical staff & external suppliers to determine constraints & capabilities of existing relevant systems.

Solution Design & Specification: Prepare specification for solutions down to functional design level including how the solution will be implemented between xxx Platform & client/third party systems.

Document process flows, database, database relationships, entity table structures, relationships, new client processes.

Solution Implementation Phase: Brief xxx project team on each project, PM's, to resolve issues/queries with implementation, review development progress against specs/requirements, review impact of changes/variations against proposed solution, spec's budgets. Document & cost variations with Acct Director for client sign-off. Testing & QA - Carry out high level testing to review implementation against specification, Clarify any bugs or issues against specification.
